Co-Curricular
These activities form a very important part of the curriculum. And schools cannot think of a time table without adding co-curricular activities in it. These lead to the development of the mind and the body too. Here too, there is a lot of discipline involved. The outcome of these activities is:
- Intellectual Development
- Emotional Development
- Moral Development
- Aesthetic Development
- Social Development
Apart from the above, it raises the enthusiasm level, energy level, creativity and definitely all this leads to positive thinking. Co-curricular Activity is based on the matter taught in the classroom which improves learning. Drama, Speech, Recitation competitions / activities lead to improving speech, intonation, diction, pronunciation, expression, team building and bonding.
Benefits of Co-curricular activities which the students of PPS gain:
- Drama – Improves their speech, dialogue delivery, gets rid of stage fear and improves confidence.
- Dance – Improves their stage performance and gets rid of stage fear and the level of confidence goes up.
- Music and Singing – The students get rid of stage fear and the confidence level goes up.
- Innovative Activities – It makes them think out of the box.
- Self Identification and Self assessment – These activities lead to an understanding of what the students are good at and what they should pursue in future.
- Express Freely – The students express freely their views when they give speeches.
- Respect for Others – Debates lead to speaking politely yet firmly, speaking out as to why something was not spoken for.
